Our History

We have always had servants’ hearts, with a call to meet people where they are and provide assistance when needed.  An opportunity came about in 2020 to start cooking for a local ministry out of our home with a small group. After providing over 300 meals for this ministry, growth and how the group could serve more of the community was a large focus.  Our volunteer group was outgrowing our home’s kitchen, so we started looking for another place to cook and expand the ministry.   Early in 2023, we received our 501 C3 status and named our group Empower Community Outreach.  We also paired with a local Church, who has opened the use of their commercial kitchen to our organization. Our volunteer group has grown from its small beginnings of 4 people to now over 20 volunteers.  We are currently privately funded, with plans to begin grant writing and donation campaigns in 2024. We are excited to see where God has us going and growing in the future!

About Us

Here at Empower Community Outreach, we see the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change.  We’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our Non-Profit upon: faith, service, empowering others, and outreach.  Our volunteers are an ever-growing group of people with many talents and treasures to offer to our Ministry.

In working through the ever-changing landscape of our society, we identified the need for fellowship and support opportunities predicated on the foundation of our faith beliefs.  Empower Community Outreach emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words.
